Move in With ‘Zombie Roomie’
November 30, 2009 by Alison
Zombie Roomie is a zom-com webcomic about John, an average Joe who needed to split the rent with someone and got more than he bargained for when George, a zombie, became his roommate. However, George isn’t your stereotypical zombie. He hates the way the living dead are portrayed in the media and is an educated, well spoken dude who has a bit of an elitist, techie personality.
Zombie Roomie’s creator, John Wigger, admits to being new to webcomics but has been a lifelong comic book fan as well as an artist. He also states he wants to keep things “tasteful” which I think he achieves–being lighthearted and fun. So check out the latest comic on John’s website and let me know if you agree. You can also follow John on Twitter.

Some may wonder why George is as buttoned up for the cold as John…
Various sources have stated that Zombies freeze in cold temperatures.
The Zombie Research Society Blog has an article Do Zombies freeze in cold weather?
Max Brooks also mentions it in the Zombie Survival Guide and World War Z.
Because a zombie’s blood doesn’t flow throughout his body, due to him being ‘dead’ they’re highly susceptible to cold temperatures.
It’s one of the reasons George wears a turtle neck all the time.

I always wanted to be in a Parade

Posted In: NewsThis is the great thing about the webcomic community; They are always willing to promote right out of the blue. Take for example John Wigger and his webcomic Zombie Roomie. I woke up this morning and checked twitter to find that @John_Wigger had posted this comic.
TGT Webcomics is in Panel 2 and The Midnight Podcast is in Panel 3.
Great job and a great webcomic John.
Corey the Barista shows up as the male television personality. He either gets a better job or is only showing up in a dream… time will tell.
In panel 2 there’s a billboard ad for TGT Webcomics.
In panel 3 there’s an another ad for The Midnight Podcast.
… and in panel 4 I play around with a little shading… eventually I’d like to move towards shading the entire strip in some format. BUT I really think it was required for this panel to create a mood.
