This comic has elements from three different comics I had outlined... I tried making a comic based on the first panel for today but it just fell flat. So I scrapped it and went to bed. When I woke up I tried coming up with a way to save it and if not outright save it, do something with it that helped move the story along. I failed with just that scene so I decided to add to it. The second panel was going to be it's own strip with the gang getting ready for Granny's funeral and then we'd have an evening after the funeral comic next Wednesday... In the end these three strips got merged into one. it helped the first panel, gave meaning to the second, and the third was the pay off. I had to sacrifice beats, but it moved the story along and felt tighter. Monday will be an epilogue that helps put a happier thought on the events of this arc.
