Great discussion today between George and John. Guess George could have gone with Smorgasboard as well when describing a group of humans. :) The banter between George and John makes this one of the most unique webcomics I’ve had the pleasure of viewing. Ya’ll are doing a great job, keep it up.
I originally posted the strip with George calling it a smorgasbord, but, figured it’d be more likely everyone would understand buffet instead.
Bill and I had the exact discussion where I thought smorgasbord was a funnier word, but, he thought buffet in the context was just fine.
Yeah. A ‘buffet of humans’ just had a nicer ring to it than a ’smorgasbord of humans’. I think it’s because collective nouns rarely have more than two syllables.
