Hey look, it’s Jamal.
We haven’t seen him since the original Monster Poker story before Christmas.
We’re getting close to seeing all the old monsters again… just Glenda the Witch is left.
She’ll be coming shortly, but we’ve got some stuff to do before she shows up. Stuff that’ll happen next week.
Toon in.
Ugh, that pun is horrible.

I really like how you’ve drawn the background with just solid colours, and no outlines, it really makes the foreground characters ‘pop’.
Actually everything but the bubbles, rocks, and plants in the tanks has an outline.
They’re just really close to the solid color for the object.
I also played around with the saturation of things in the background to help pop the foreground characters further.
Went back to Dec. 7th and dang, Jamal has definitely changed a lot. I like the new Jamal, doesn’t seem as down trodden as the first time we met him,but that could be because of George’s comment. Colors different and everything. I love his greeting, very catchy. I’m sure he won’t have any issues persuading a lot of folks to peruse the hamster isle instead of the aquariums. However, being an underwater creature himself, wouldn’t he be apt to want to consume the goldfish more than protect them. Maybe that’s what he’s actually doing, protecting his food supply. :)
Can’t wait to see Glenda’s makeover.
Don’t worry John, I’ll definitely be “tooning” in next week.
Yeah, Jamal came out really well in my opinion, but, I’m biased.
I wanted to change up his colors slightly since they were pretty drab before.
It also let me get him to be more African American Fishman in coloration.
