This one joke is the entire reason Jack and Francis live together.
Both Bill and I thought this idea was something we can consistently go to the well on… Francis’ dislike of fire and Jack’s smoking since lung cancer wont kill him.
We also get to see more monster poker… something we haven’t seen since right before the Christmas storyline.
Zombie Roomie: Commentary Track the podcast begins tomorrow. So, stop by and give it a listen.

Maybe it’s just me, but whenever I read Frank N. Stein’s dialog, I hear it in Patrick Warburton’s voice.
Nice job on this strip dude, real nice. Great pacing.
It’s one of our current favs.
I absolutely love the last line. “Fire Bad”…that’s awesome. I keep thinking of Young Frankenstein with that one, when the blind man try’s to light his smoke and lights his finger on fire instead. :) I guess that’s one advantage Frankenstein’s Monster has, if something breaks down, just replace it.
The redrawing of your characters is great. Francis has had the most update of the three we’ve seen so far.
I think it’s funny that a zombie is worried about his lungs as well. :)
Really?
I felt he had the least updated look of the three.
Vlad and Jack were far more in depth changes in my opinion. Francis’ features are pretty much the same, same head shape, etc. I just was able to give him the new line quality and didn’t outline his dark shape around his eyes.
I don’t know, my first impression of Francis from back before Christmas was a Baldo looking individual. His facial expressions have changed to me quite a bit and made him appear a bit older than I first thought of. I will have to agree that Vlad and Jack were structurally changed quite a bit, but Francis seems the most changed to me, maybe it’s just my mind playing tricks on me from what I saw and what I see now, but that’s just how I see him.
Francis just seems more aged to me than the rest. They all look great and I love how they have all progressed, I just see more change over all with Francis because he appears older to me than previously drawn. I agree that Jack is probably the most structurally changed, but he still makes me think of the original, same with Vlad, but there’s something about Francis that just makes my mind say “He’s older”.
