Well, it would seem that the Mummies weren’t expecting to encounter such a giant dork who can quote movies at the drop of a hat for a defense!
John busts out lines from classic courtroom dramas in today’s comic. For those of you who can’t place them, in panel three it’s from “…And Justice for All” and in panel four it’s, of course, Jack’s famous line from “A Few Good Men“.
I really find the fact that the Mummy culture uses bandages for almost everything hilarious…. The judge’s robes and wig, George’s jumpsuit… It’s that little idea of mine that made me laugh hard when the idea of Mummy COPS and a courtroom scene were originally pitched. I added the bandage based clothing concept and fell in love.
Didn’t Jeffrey Dahmer use the same plea?

I thought about using something related to it, but in the end having the guys leave to go eat dinner at four pm wasn’t very funny.
I thought the jumpsuit looked lumpy, at first I thought George had been wrapped underneath it. Man John is really giving it all he’s got, surprised he doesn’t break out and do a magic trick (a.k.a Harry Stone – Night Court). :) I really like your mummies, really good job.
