Today ends the story based on George learning martial arts.
I’m sure I’ll reference his knowledge of the martial arts and even this fight later, but, starting Friday I’m doing strips no longer dealing directly with MMA/fighting again. Thanks for sticking around through my little journey where I wanted to play around with doing an MMA storyline. Mixed Martial Arts is one of the many things I’m an über geek about and I wanted to add it to the world of Zombie Roomie.
It also let me play around with adding celebrity likenesses to the cameo characters. That’s something I see Scott Kurtz do a lot and while I’m no Scott Kurtz, he is someone I look up to.

hehe!! thats awsome john!! this thing really grows on you! great job.
I’m trying to figure out how to structure the joke I have in mind for Friday.
I think it’ll be funnier than the last few strips I’ve done.
Thanks for reading.
Now that’s some cage fighting that could draw in the masses. I love it in a good cage fight when you can just about see one of the opponents about to lose their heads…well, not like this exactly, but something about that rage just really brings the hurt, usually to the one that loses their head. I wonder how functional George’s body can be without his head attached, maybe that can be his secret move. The head lying in the corner while the boy works over the opponent, at least that way “Caveman” would be safe from George attempting to eat him….for a while.
Yeah, I had originally had the commentator boxes continue to talk about the fight in the last two panels, but, I thought in the end it detracted.
The only thing that they added was talking about George’s body still trying for a takedown whilst his head was outside the ring.
But, I didn’t think that it added enough to the strip in the end and turned off those layers in Photoshop.
