The flick George mentions is “Sleepwalkers” and heavily used in the film is Santo & Johnny’s “Sleep Walk” and that is where today’s title comes from.
Double-sized strips take a lot outta me so I need to plan better when it comes time to do them.

Dude, this is a hilarious strip today. The stuff going on in the strip, the dialogue, everything is great. I love the references to rats and hungry rodents with John’s rat looking Chest Hair clump just sticking out there. Also the Stealing Souls for Dummies is a great addin. I think I almost had a nerdgasm myslef.
I really like the first panel with George’s eyes glowing. I remember as a kid asking my grandpa why dogs eyes glowed at night when light shone on them, his response was, “Because they have no soul. If something has no soul, like an animal, it causes the light to bounce back from its eyes and glow that way.” That’s one thing that always stuck in my head, so that first panel immedeately made me think of poor George with no soul.

When I can stick stuff in like the book or other Easter eggs, I do.
Nerdgasm is pure Bill.
Originally this was two strips and we stuck them together since Wednesday and Friday are connected, so it would have been another weekend “cliff hanger” like last week would have been unless I did the double-sized like I did.

All I can say is… ummm… thanks for not putting that odd clump of hair on his back, I would have lost my lunch! o.O *smirk*

I limited the body hair a little but, wanted there to be some for comedic effect. So, I could have placed back hair on him, I just didn’t.

I find it hilarious that John for a moment tried to be modest my covering up, but then LotR is spoken and nothing else matters but finding him a soul…

He’s a giant nerd. When he’s on a quest there’s more important things than modesty.
